Equinox High-Tea Buffet

My girlfriend and I celebrated our 31st Monthversary at Equinox Restaurant, having their High-Tea Buffet! We had to make a booking 1.5 months in advance (yes seriously) because it was a weekend, and even so the window seats that have the best views were fully reserved already. It costs $43++ per pax, but it includes 1 pot of TWG tea as well as a sumptuous spread. The only concern is that the buffet only lasts from 3.30pm – 5pm.

When we arrived 30 mins earlier (kiasu) we were made to wait downstairs at the hotel lobby, and when we slowly made our way up 10 minutes before the starting time, we saw there was a long queue to be seated already.

Smoked Salmon

The TWG Classic Green Apple Iced Tea was the BEST drink there. In fact it was always emptied out as soon as it gets refilled.

The usual starters.

I took a bit of their salad. They had 4 different types and the 2 above were the nicest.

A pity there was always a mad line of aunties at the other queue where they have food such as dim sum, duck confit, vegetarian lasagne, and the most delicious kueh pie tee I have ever eaten in my life.

Yes. The queue for the KPT is also the longest though, since everyone is rushing to make their own ones, and we only have a very tight time frame to eat to our heart’s desires.

Their desserts were slightly more average. I didn’t try their pastries because I was too full already.

These were nice but I forgot what they are called…

I really liked their raisin scones too! Goes especially well with their cream cheese and blackberries.

We also took some time off while we were digesting our food to admire the beautiful scenery from the 69th floor of the Swissotel.

Very happy and extremely stuffed.

I really liked this high-tea buffet a lot and I will probably come back here again for another special occasion!

  1. For individuals who edit on a MAC, this camera’s software is not compatible and the software is needed for smooth playback at 1080p. Previous to this model, there were 3Ds that needed professional equipment and were quite complex to operate. Most of the photographers prefer ultra slim Sony digital cameras. The Sanyo VPC-PD2BK is equipped with a built-in USB connector.
